Bangs’s book is the gold standard for biographical work on Arminius and is surely the next stop for anyone desiring further knowledge about the life of Arminius. A much more recent book, Jacob Arminius: Theologian of Grace, written by Keith D. Stanglin and Thomas H. McCall, provides a wonderfully detailed and well-written summary of Arminius’s basic theological positions.
